The 'Pitch Meeting' For 'Velma' Is Appropriately Brutal

Boy, what a furor about that Velma, eh?! The recently released Scooby-Doo spin-off cartoon has not been having an easy go of it, managing to somehow simultaneously piss off the alt-right crowd and their lot, fans of Scooby-Doo, and fans of…well, quality TV by the looks of it. I haven’t seen the show. I did read Jen’s excellent write-up of it (linked above), and all I could think was: ‘This can’t possibly be real, right?’ That incredulous reaction seems to be quite widespread. The guys over at the ‘Pitch Meeting’ series certainly felt that way, as is evident from their recent video on the matter:
