Before we get started here, I have no idea if Colin Allred has a real shot at winning in Texas against Ted Cruz. I suspect it will be close, but as was the case with Beto, there are just too many forces weighing against Democrats in that state. But if anything is going to win it, it’s Allred, in his debate, telling the American people that on January 6th, he was preparing to brawl the mob invading the House of Representatives, while Ted Cruz was … hiding in a supply closet. Buddy.

I’m also not going to spend much time on Trump’s disastrous interview about the economy with Bloomberg yesterday, but it was a real sh**-show, although Stephen Miller has already called it the greatest interview in the history of interviews. Trump’s answer to everything seems to be, “No, you’re wrong!”

Trump also reportedly backed out of another interview, this one with CNBC. He does not do well in interviews that are not friendly. Hell, he’s not doing well with friendly interviews, either.
Kamala Harris, meanwhile, is flooding the airwaves. From the way I understand the race at this point, Trump needs to get out new voters to win because he has a ceiling with existing voters. I don’t know if, “I know you are but what I am I” answers, swaying back and forth during rallies, and threatening political enemies is a recipe for victory. Harris, needs to continue to encroach upon Trump’s territory and shore up her base.
To that end, she’ll appear in a Fox News interview tonight. And yesterday, she interviewed with Charlamagne tha God in an effort to woo back some of the Black men who are considering voting for Trump, according to polling (which seems somewhat dubious to me). This is probably the quote most people will remember from the interview.

Harris did stick to the script, but when Charlamagne opened the interview by saying that she’d been accused of sticking to talking points, Harris shot back: “It’s called being disciplined.” Expect to see that in the Fox News interview, as well, and for good reason: Those of us who follow the race entirely too closely have heard both candidates repeat the same lines over and over (although only Harris is being criticized for it), but a lot of these audiences are hearing them for the first time and that will especially be true on Fox News tonight. “There are certain things that must be repeated to ensure that I have everyone know what I stand for and the issues that I think are at stake in this election,” Harris told Charlamagne during the interview.
The scary thing, folks, is that this all may come down to how each candidate performs in an interview with … Joe Rogan, something both candidates are reportedly mulling. Oy.
There are 19 days until the election. Early voting has already kicked off in many states, including Georgia, where Jimmy Carter was able to cast his vote for Harris yesterday.
