We all know this phenomenon.

We’ve seen it play out countless times.

The process goes a little like this:

1) Someone famous, usually once beloved, is revealed to have done some bad stuff.

2) They are justifiably condemned for their actions, and the tide of opinion turns against them, with people expressing dismay that the once-liked/admired/beloved famous person turned out to be not so great after all.

3) Except.

4) Except That One Guy.

5) That One Guy isn’t surprised at all, somehow. In fact, he always knew. He never liked him in the first place.
