Us Europeans have a lot of steretyopes of you Americans. I’ll be the first to admit that sometimes they can be unfair, or unfounded, and throughout the years I have occasionally fought your corner with some of my friends. ‘Nah. Come on, that’s not fair. They’re not a cartoon!’
I’ll be damned if you don’t half make that difficult sometimes.
That’s an off-duty FBI agent, at a party, shooting a bystander in the leg during a dance-off at a Denver nightclub.
I mean, what is this? Mad Libs: USA Edition?
According to The Guardian, the name of the agent has not been released as he has not yet been charged with anything, and the victim is said to be in stable condition. Further from The Guardian:
Police interviewed the agent before releasing him to an FBI supervisor. An investigation is continuing, and any charges will be determined by the Denver district attorney’s office, officer Marika Putnam said.
A Denver FBI spokeswoman declined to comment, citing an ongoing investigation.
