So Jarhead was the film adaptation of the critically acclaimed, best selling memoir of a Marine during the First Gulf War directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes. It cost $72 million to make, and took in just $62 million. A well-reviewed and received failure. And it had Jake Gyllenhaal looking like this:

Jarhead 2: Field of Fire is the straight to DVD “sequel” to Jarhead that is a “sequel” in that it is “inspired” by Jarhead.
