Is This What Florida Is Like?

As someone who’s only ever been to the US twice—once for a chaotic wedding week and once for a surreal excursion to a strange man’s house in something called ‘Maine’—I have to say the place mystifies me. It’s an odd place, drunk on the imagery of itself, projecting its power out into its global empire financially, militarily, and with a constant stream of propaganda. As such, it’s really difficult to know what it’s actually like. Are all the stories true? Are some of them? Are they basically true, but exaggerated to a great degree?! It’s very confusing. For example, Florida. You hear a lot about Florida. Is this what Florida is like:
