It’s been a year-and-a-half since the third season of Yellowjackets aired (though, it feels like a decade), but now — after five years and three seasons — the Yellowjackets are finally out of the woods. Literally. Paramount+ dropped the first footage from the fourth and final season on Wednesday. The survivors are back in Wiskayok, New Jersey, and it’s not exactly a celebration, hence the song playing over the trailer: Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic.”
It’s an unexpected turn (at least to me), but there’s probably a lot of mileage the show can get out of the return home, and it will certainly inject some new energy into a series that had been spinning its wheels.
The final season of Yellowjackets premieres November 20 on Paramount+.
