It’s a new year, so that means a new COVID variant! Some of the variants are even mixing because why not? We deserve this. What we don’t deserve is a closet full of old cloth masks that don’t work in this current stage of the end of the world. Now, it’s KN95 or bust(ed lungs)! So what do you do with all our old cloth masks? Dulce Sloan of The Daily Show has got you covered!

Sloan recently went viral for giving the best advice/resolution of the New Year:

It only makes sense that she would have more good advice as the year keeps moving. Like New Year’s Eve, Dulce’s suggestions have some truth to them and are funny as hell. If someone hasn’t turned their masks into a beer koozie at this point I would be legitimately surprised.

There’s a tinge of sadness to this bit as well, on my end, at least. I remember when the pandemic first started, and my wife made us cloth masks out of old pajamas. It was the only thing we could do at the time, and while it felt extreme and scary (we didn’t even know if they would work), at a certain point things seemed like they were getting better. I thought, “maybe soon we won’t have to wear these cloth masks anymore.” I was kind of right.

It sucks that things have only gotten worse, but it’s nice to have people like Dulce Sloan make us laugh, and embarrass Don Lemon, along the way.
