Based on the first photos from the fourth season of Ted Lasso and other press materials, we can piece together the storyline for the fourth season of the crowd-pleasing comedy. The season, which is set for a summer 2026 release, will see Hannah Waddingham’s character, Rebecca, fly to Kansas to recruit Ted to coach a second-division women’s soccer team. So, we’ll get to see promotions! Hopefully.

When he gets to Richmond, it appears that he’s bringing along his newly recast son, Henry (Grant Feely).

He’ll still have Coach Beard as his right-hand man, but he’s also bringing in a new assistant coach played by Tanya Reynolds.

And as far as we know, based on the existing photos, they will spend the entire season running drills.

The management and coaches will all return (Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple), but I wouldn’t expect more than maybe a cameo or so from the players on Ted’s former team or his opponent (Nick Mohammed, Phil Dunster, Toheeb Jimoh, Cristo Fernández, etc.), although I do hope they have room for Trent Crimm, The Independent (James Lance). I also hope they manage to keep the episodes under 35 or so minutes and resurrect the magic of the first two seasons before Jason Sudeikis got a little too light on the edit.
