Stephen Colbert has been consistently crushing with show opening sketches. They are topical, tight, well-produced, and always get a laugh out of me. They’re a joy to watch and the latest hits all the right notes for this week’s… possible catastrophe?

You say you want a Thanksgiving gathering, but want to follow CDC guidelines? Well, Stephen Colbert has just the thing you need! Don’t travel long distances or gather with a large number of family and friends. Simply buy the Blow-Up Crazy Uncle!

If you’ve been able to avoid having a family member who makes gatherings… difficult, then bully for you! For the rest of us, being around family means having the human equivalent of a ticking time bomb just WAITING to have too many glasses of Limoncello and telling you why “God chooses imperfect vessels all the time.”

The way Colbert’s Crew presents their Crazy Uncle is so on the nose it’s scary. Scary-Hilarious but scary nonetheless. I loved it. I love Colbert’s opening sketches, and if someday he takes the Conan route and decides to just host a variety show, I’ll be streaming it the moment it drops.
