Cold Open — James Austin Johnson and Colin Jost crack out their Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth impressions again, now to ostensbily talk about high gas prices. It’s the usual, only with the frozen background scene again, which at least provides a couple of seconds of laughter while Marcello and Padilla try to keep it together. Harry Styles Monologue — The delivery is a little robotic, but otherwise, a top-notch monologue from Mr. Styles about how boring he is, and how much he loves fruit. But also, sex and ecstasy. (And a nice queerbaiting joke, too). (Score: 7 out of 10)
Sebastian Maniscalco: New Lawyer — I am not as captivated by Marcello Hernandez’s Sebastian Maniscalco impression as many, but I do like Harry Styles’ not-so-great attempt to emulate it. And I’ll give Hernandez a lot of props for the physicality of that impression. It is more impressive than it is funny, though. (Score: 6.5 out of 10)
MAHAspital — Brilliant. It’s The Pitt, but if it were run by MAHA freaks. “If your favorite character from The Pitt was the guy who punched the nurse, you’re going to love MAHAspital. Mat sketch of the week, and a rare SNL political sketch that is also hilarious. (Score: 9 out of 10)
Sparkle of the Sea — Two cruise directors introduce all the various acts on this German cruise. It’s not a particularly good sketch, and, alas, the bad German accents do not make it appreciably better. (Watch Here) (Score: 4.5 out of 10)
Mr. Pooty — I don’t know why it sounds like Kenan is doing a Ron Funches impression, but the gist of this mostly amusing sketch is that Mr. Pooty cannot resist the bisexual appeal of another employee, played by Harry Styles. I get it. He’s a very handsome man (and the SNL crowd is very lively tonight). (Score: 6.5 out of 10)
Weekend Update — The political jokes are a series of groaners, and they’re both fantastic and hit very close to home. Then, Jeremy Culhane trots out an absolutely brilliant Tucker Carlson impression. Culhane has arrived! And Mikey Day and Marcello crush it as … the heart emoji and the aerial tramway emoji. One of the best “Updates” of the season. (Score: 9 out of 10)
White Castle Drive-Thru — Jane Wickline and Veronika Slowikowska play high-school girls who keep going around in circles at the White Castle Drive-thru to sexually objectify the White Castle drive-thru guy, who looks like Harry Styles. Umm, OK. (Watch Here) (Score: 4.5 out of 10)
She’s an Irish Dancer — Sexy women about to dance for men, only it’s Lord of the Dance type Irish dancing. It’s just absurd enough to work. (Score: 6 out of 10)
Harry for Him — What would the average guy look like wearing the same clothes that Harry Styles wears? Yeah, not so great. This one is low-key brilliant. (Score: 7.5 out of 10)
