Ryan Murphy is like the opposite of a good drug dealer, who gives you a taste for free in the hopes that you get hooked. His trailers are the “taste,” only once you try it, you lose complete interest. Maybe Ryan Murphy should run anti-drug campaigns instead of television shows.
The trailer for Beauty — premiering January 21st on FX — is admittedly compelling. Ashton Kutcher plays a billionaire who offers a drug that makes people effortlessly beautiful, and he cites himself as an example. Unfortunately, the side effects are not great. Given that Rebecca Hall and Evan Peters play FBI agents, I’m guessing the side effects include murderous rage.
Anthony Ramos also stars, and per usual for Murphy, he’s lined up a hell of a roster of guest stars: Bella Hadid, Billy Eichner, Isabella Rossellini, Peter Gallagher, Nicola Peltz Beckham, Vincent D’Onofrio, Meghan Trainor, and Ben Platt, among others.
I cannot wait to watch the pilot episode and bail. Again.
