'Riverdale' Recap: Veronica Has a Sister, and Betty Has a Serial Killer Gene
To protect his community center, Archie’s masked vigilante goes to war against Dodger, who runs a protection racket. Hermione pleads guilty to her crimes, but is pardoned by the governor after he’s blackmailed by Veronica; charges are dropped against Hiram after his newly discovered other daughter shakes down the prosecutor. Hermione and Hiram are now free despite being implicated in numerous murders and other crimes. Betty, who has the serial killer gene (a real thing, sort of) suspects her half-brother Chuck may be a serial killer himself. Jughead enters a competition with his prep-school classmates to ghost-write the next in a series of popular murder mysteries. The theme? “The Perfect Murder.”
Flash-forward to the Spring: Archie, Veronica, and Betty are arrested for Jughead’s murder in what is probably a rouse designed with Brett, Jughead’s prep-school arch-nemesis, in mind.
