In a crowded field of streaming platforms, it’s difficult to stand out, especially when you’re new to the game. But the soon-to-debut platform Quibi just caught our attention by revealing the trailer for Murder House Flip, which is exactly what you’d predict.

Take a look:

Murder and makeover don’t usually go together!

Here’s the synopsis courtesy of AV Club:

From the Executive Producer of CSI, Murder House Flip is an unconventional new home renovation show that takes on the country’s most infamous homes: the ones known for mysterious murders committed behind their walls. Homeowners turn to high-end renovation experts, Mikel Welch and Joelle Uzyel, to remove the stains of the past and take these homes from morbid to marvelous.

Between the fervor for home renovation shows and America’s tireless fascination with true-crime, a mash-up show like this was inevitable. Is it exploitative? Maybe. Is it tacky? Absolutely. Are we intrigued? Look, we’ve got a lot of time on our hands and only so much trash TV we haven’t yet seen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Quibi launches April 6. It’ll be a short-form specific platform, with two subscription options: $4.99 a month for access with ads and $7.99 to go ad-free.
