Porsha Williams Guobadia Returning to ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’

The question on everyone’s lips of late has been, “What’s going on with The Real Housewives of Atlanta?” The show’s been on hiatus after the whimper that was season 15, and then its OG Kandi Burruss said she wasn’t returning, so everyone thought a total cast shakeup was on the horizon, like what happened with New York.

But, instead, Porsha’s coming back!

Porsha Guobadia (neé Williams) was a fan favorite on RHOA for nine seasons, exposing her struggles with marriage, family, and friendship before leaving the show in September 2021. Since then she’s remarried and her world has changed dramatically, which we saw briefly on the short-lived spinoff, Porsha’s Family Matters. She then appeared on Ultimate Girls Trip season 3.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family. I’m looking forward to being back on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ and showing the world my new world!” Guobadia said in an official statement.

The news of Porsha’s comeback comes while her former RHOA co-star, Phaedra Parks, is killing the game on The Traitors while also appearing on Married to Medicine. Waaay back in RHOA season 9 Guobadia and Parks had a falling out when Parks alleged that Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, attempted to drug and sexually assault Guobadia, which resulted in Parks’s exit from the show. (Those allegations were never proven.) While Guobadia and Parks have made up and moved on, the same can’t be said for Parks and Burruss. So, now that Burruss is leaving…maybe we’ll get two comebacks this season?
