I’m not really going to keep you in suspense on this one because last night’s episode of The Mindy Project was one of its weakest yet. I’ll just briefly hit the highlights and ignore the lowlights. (I’m looking at you, Dr. Castellano slut-shaming Mindy and Kris Humphries kameo.)
Best line? They almost always belong to Chris Messina.
Best moment? Oh, Mindy winning back her office with alcohol.
But The Mindy Project had no chance against New Girl’s almost toxic levels of cuteness last night. I mean, they deployed a kitten. How on earth can you beat that?
That might may be my favorite Winston plot yet. Schmidt, unfortunately, is still stuck in a plot line I hate because it makes both Elizabeth and CeCe look like idiots and him look like an ass. We’re going to need a bigger douchebag jar. That being said, I did love his office, tiny credenza and all.
But the night belonged to Nick and Jess. The writers have a hard task in front of them keeping us interested now that the “won’t they” is off the table. Last night? Oh they did just fine.
