Lily Gladstone and Riley Keogh's 'Under the Bridge' Could Be the Next Great True Crime Drama

I have not read the late Rebecca Godfrey’s 2005 Under the Bridge, but after watching the trailer for the Hulu adaptation and reading the logline, I am intrigued. The series, which stars Riley Keough, Lily Gladstone, and Archie Panjabi, is about the murder of Reena Irk, a 14-year-old Canadian girl who was beaten and killed by a group of bullying teenage girls (the circumstances are different, but the story certainly evokes the death of Nex Benedict).

According to the Hulu logline, the series examines the murder through the eyes of Godfrey (Riley Keough) and a local police officer (Lily Gladstone) and “takes us into the hidden world of the young girls accused of the murder —- revealing startling truths about the unlikely killer.”

The series premieres on April 17th.
