Viewers who tuned in to Netflix yesterday hoping to watch the Love Is Blind reunion show live had to wait … and wait … and wait. In fact, they’re still waiting. Twitter users lost their minds waiting for the reunion, Netflix’s second attempt at a live-streaming show after Chris Rock’s stand-up special. The streamer never managed to get it right, either, much to the dismay of waiting fans.

The show was scheduled to stream at 8 p.m., at which time Netflix tweeted, “Love is … late. #LoveIsBlindLIVE will be on in 15 minutes!” Later, they said technical difficulties were holding them up, but it would be “worth the wait.”

At some point, during Succession on the East Coast, Netflix gave up, taped the show, and will release it today at 3 EST, with its apologies.

“To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned,” Netflix tweeted. “We’re filming it now and we’ll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.”

After Netflix pulled the plug, viewers and competitors piled on, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Hulu, and Blockbuster, the company that Netflix put out of business.

For what it’s worth, some of those who saw the taping live say that the wait until today is still worth the wait, last night’s aggravation notwithstanding.
