Here's Everything You Need to Know About ObamaGate

A couple of days ago, I kind of wrote about Obamagate, only I called it MelaniaGate, and in both cases, the scandals were completely fabricated. They’re not only made up but contain no actual substance. ObamaGate is not only not a real scandal, it’s an amalgamation of several other non-scandals from the last three years, like SpyGate and Unmasking Gate. Donald Trump is trying to navigate his way out of a pandemic by resorting to some old hits, and very little new information. It’s just recycled bullsh*t he’s hoping to pin on Obama in the hopes that it will stick to Biden. With his base, it probably will.

Eighty-five thousand people are dead (and counting), the economy is in tatters, unemployment is at something like 20 percent, and Trump’s base has not abandoned him yet. It’s just not going to happen, and Trump believes if he can appeal to the racism of his base, he can motivate them to walk through virus to vote for him.

I’m not going to try to write about ObamaGate because it’s not a real thing. Trevor Noah does a good job here, however, of explaining how Trump and Fox News are amplifying a fake scandal — and ignoring Congressional hearings with health officials — in order to improve Trump’s reelection chances.
