Just a quick programming note: Disney, which owns both Hulu and FX, has decided to eliminate FX on Hulu but will continue to air FX on Hulu. Over the next month, Disney will phase out FX on Hulu and instead replace it with FX, which will air on Hulu, and will also include FXX programming. FX will continue to air on Hulu in the United States, but FX will air on Star Plus in Latin America and Disney Plus everywhere else in the world, whereas before FX on Hulu content aired on Disney+.
It’s unclear if FX on Hulu content, which previously aired exclusively on Hulu, will now air on FX, or if FX on Hulu content will be exclusive to Hulu. The change will not affect FX content that airs on Netflix, like American Crime Story, which is not called FX on Netflix. It is simply FX on Netflix but not on Hulu because of licensing deals. I would not, however, expect FX on Hulu content like Reservation Dogs to air on FX, only on Hulu, even though FX and FXX have plenty of space for FX on Hulu programming. However, Disney prefers to keep FX on Hulu programming exclusive to Hulu, but they’re just not going to call it FX on Hulu anymore. Note, also, that a second season of Devs will air on neither FX nor Hulu, because FX on Hulu canceled Devs before Disney eliminated FX on Hulu and replaced it simply with FX, which will air on Hulu.
Please update your lives accordingly.
