'SNL' Will Tap First Host Much of Gen X Has Never Heard Of

I’m limping around this week because I got tendonitis in my Achilles. Not from running or exercise. But from new sneakers, which weren’t as supportive as my old sneakers. That’s how old I am. I am hurt-myself-from-wearing-new-sneakers old.

I’m also apparently old enough not to have any idea who Druski is. This may be less of an age thing and more of a “I don’t really do social media” thing. He’s an influencer and comedian known for sketch comedy. Forbes ranked him #9 on the creators list last year. He has a lot of followers on TikTok and Instagram.

He will also reportedly be hosting SNL on November 7th, according to Puck. That would make him the first creator that Lorne Michaels has asked to host. He does sketch comedy, so he seems like a natural fit, at least in that respect. I don’t know anything else about him, so I cannot otherwise say if he’s well suited.
