Celebrity Bake Off, which raises money for cancer, is currently airing in the UK, and among the contestants this year are Rose Matafeo, Mike Wozniak, Jessica Hynes, David Morrissey, and American David Schwimmer. That is not as important today as the fact that host Prue Leith may have been wearing a ball gag as a necklace, according to the jokesters on social media.

It is not, however, the first time she has worn the necklace, because folks on Twitter have been asking the same thing for at least six years.

For some reason, thanks to The Daily Mail, this is the year that people are finally making something of it. The paper called her “very rude” for what The Guardian called a “suggestive necklace.”

The fact that Leith has been wearing it for years doesn’t mean it’s not actually a ball gag. As Jezebel writes, it may be intentional because Leith has been “candid about love and sex” since rediscovering romance in the wake of her first husband’s death, although she never suggests that sex toys are involved.

The Celebrity Bake-Off is currently airing on Sundays in the UK, and it’s the last go around for Matt Lucas, who has left the show and will be replaced by Alison Hammond.
