Drew and Jonathan Scott have become famous for finding fixer-upper properties and transforming them into dream homes. Their hit TV show, Property Brothers, has been on HGTV for almost ten years and doesn’t look to be stopping anytime soon. However, right before the nationwide lockdown caused by the pandemic, they were presented with a makeover even they couldn’t handle: the office of Jordan Schlansky.
For those who are not aware, Jordan Schlansky has been an associate producer for Conan O’Brien since 2003; spanning three different iterations of Conan’s late-night show. He is also a bit of a punching bag for O’Brien. A source of Conan’s constant ribbing is Schlansky’s messy office.
It turns out that, right before the lockdown started, Conan turned to Drew and Jonathan Scott to straighten up Schlansky’s oft cluttered workspace. Things went about as well as you would expect.
The Property Brothers aren’t able to make too many changes in the moment, aside from a terrifying statue of Conan they add to the room.
According to the sketch, actual “renovations” were set to take place but were delayed/canceled due to the lockdown. Instead, we are left with a CG rendering of Schlansky’s office, condemned and overrun by rats, raccoons and armadillos. Instead of renovating it, the Scotts quip, they will instead convert it into Schlansky’s “final resting place.”
