Conan will be heading to Comic-Con at the tail end of next week, but he closed this week by delivering one of his fine remote segments. This time it involves his long-suffering and lovable assistant Sona Movsesian and her quest to buy a new car.
Since Conan is her boss and has his own show, the search becomes content for his monologue and he ends up joining her to check out her current ride before heading to the internet to find a new one. And he’s not really too helpful at either end of the process, which is perfect to showcase his comical dickishness. It does come in handy with writing what is arguably the best AutoTrader review in history.
It just barely beats out the reviews that are just a big long fart noise typed out or a gif of a chimpanzee drinking its own urine.
He ends up buying the car for her at least — and hopefully helped her out in reality too — hopping on the 1990 Honda Accord for $1,000. It comes with free dust, a menagerie of smells, and the possibility that it starts. They did get it into the Warner Bros. lot and onto the Conan stage.
Next week we’ll see Conan help out another member of his staff by selling their house for them. They won’t have asked but he’ll be doing it anyway.
