I don’t watch America’s Got Talent, and to be honest, this video is not going to change my mind about that. But, NBC sent me clips from last night’s season premiere (?), and I clicked on a random one, and oh my god! I don’t know enough about this show to know what the level of competition is, but I can’t imagine anyone could put on a performance as stirring and emotionally heartfelt as this.
It’s incredible. I laughed. I cried. I threw up a little. I don’t know what kind of dog-and-pony acts to expect from the rest of the season, but they should all pack it up and go home. This performance cannot be beaten.
