Looking like that comes at a cost, obviously. The cost primarily is the inability to eat carbs or refined sugar for a year and a half. Can you imagine working out every day and not being able to reward yourself with pizza or a Snickers? I mean, no offense, Kumail, but WHAT’S THE POINT? If you have all the money and fame in the world, and you look like that, but you can’t eat a slice of pizza, then why? I hope he’s at least eating this much sushi once a week.
In either respect, two days after he wrapped filming on The Eternals, Kumail appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to brag about his physique (and make no mistake, if I looked like that, that’s exactly what I’d do, too). Midway through the segment, however, Kimmel surprised him with cake and pizza, and Kumail — who is no longer filming and hasn’t had cake or pizza in a year-and-half — very excitedly took him up on the offer of cake and pizza.
Kumail, by the way, was really on to promote his anthology series on Apple TV+, Little America, which I have heard nothing but fantastic things about (and we’ll have a review of that up soon).
