Fabulously Rich People, a Television Staple

Billions on Showtime at 8:00pm ET. Series finale. One show about fantastically wealthy people ends, but plenty more will come to take its place.

The Simpsons on Fox at 8:00pm ET. If you were planning to tune in tonight for the annual “Treehouse of Horror” episode, don’t bother. It’s airing next week. A truly baffling decision because it appears that the episode was NOT pushed for post-season baseball. The next game is tomorrow, and the series will be wrapped up by next Saturday at the latest.

Fear the Walking Dead on AMC at 9:00pm ET.

The Gilded Age on HBO at 9:00pm ET. Second season premiere. I watched the first few episodes of the first season and honestly, I do not understand how a show that seemed so relentlessly dull has picked up enough of an audience to get another season. That period of American history was truly nuts! How do you waste Carrie Coon on something set in that time that’s so… boring?

Halloween Wars on Food Network at 9:00pm ET. 13th season finale.
