Olympic Summer Games - Primetime Weekend on NBC at 7:00pm ET. Credit where it’s due, the Peacock Olympics experience is MUCH better this year with a variety of options for letting me do what I really want to do during the Olympics; watching sports that are basically not televised at any other time. The Gold Zone option is pretty fun too. However, I’m seeing a commercial for Google’s AI where someone is encouraging his young daughter to use AI to write a fan letter which they’re playing as charming but which sounds deeply bleak. Here, daughter, instead of a heartfelt if imperfect message of authenticity to your personal hero, let the computer give you a slick and emotionless facsimile and pass it off as your own words! Why attempt a personal connection when you can save some time and effort and reveal nothing of yourself in the process?
