There’s something magical about a good behind-the-scenes photograph from a movie set. When we’re given a glimpse at the real struggles and the joy that went into something that means a lot to us, it can give the perfect tickle to our heartstrings. Take a look at a few of these iconic pictures from the original Star Wars movies. Chances are, you’ve seen them before, maybe often enough for the joy they bring you to have gotten wrapped up inextricably with the feelings the movies themselves evoke.
Now cinematographer Dan Mindel has been posting behind-the-scenes shots from The Force Awakens to his Instagram page. Over the last few weeks, he’s given us a ton of pictures. Most of them will probably appeal to those with a love of cameras and the technical side of production, but there are plenty that are instant classics for every Star Wars fan. Here are just a few.
