After last week’s release of the new The Force Awakens trailer, my family was so pumped we held a weekend rewatch of the original flavor trilogy. Not that anyone really needs an excuse to hear Chewie-speak echoing through the house, but it was extra fun after seeing the boys again. Of course, the really lucky folks were out in Anaheim, California, where Star Wars Celebration was kicked off by J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy — but fret not! Abrams shared a supercool bunch of behind-the-scenes photos!
Additionally, The New York Times has a nifty story of how the new iPhone robot-controlled BB-8 droid toy will come to life and no-doubt (well, unless it’s cost-prohibitive) find a home in your house after Episode VII’s release this Christmas. Never mind the kids, Santa; I *need* one under our tree! But, since Disney won’t yet discuss the price, I’m not letting my hopes get too high.
***Update: Now we *don’t* have to wait to find out how BB-8’s head stays in place; a fan created version proves the magnet theory works:

Hey, let’s go watch that trailer again!
