Reddit Asks the Question: 'What Improved Your Quality of Life So Much, You Wish You Did It Sooner?'

There’s been a cascade of events recently which has led me to seriously re-evaluate my relationship with my phone. When I was younger, I was always very much in the Luddite camp. I was the last person out of my social group to get a smartphone; I refused to stream music for the longest time; I only dealt with physical media as much as practically possible. Little by little, with the increased conceptual load of getting older, I yielded, relented, and sacrificed my principles on the altar of convenience. Like a proper mug. A few things have happened in recent times, however, that have started to push me in the opposite direction again. The sight of all the major American tech bosses going full mask off was one. Attending a major gig at which phones were banned was another. And hearing stories from people in Spain and Portugal who experienced the upside of a day’s life without tech due to the recent blackout was a third. All this was running through my mind when I saw a recent AskReddit thread that asked the question: ‘What improved your quality of life so much, you wish you did it sooner?’ You can check out the full thread here, but below are some highlights:
