J. Crew has sparked outrage with a children’s t-shirt that has an f-word on it. No, not that one. “Feminist.”
On the company’s Instagram account, they shared a picture of a boy wearing a red t-shirt that says “I am a feminist too” on it. CBS News reports that shirt is part of J. Crew’s collaboration with the prinkshop, a t-shirt company that boasts an array of feminist attire.
10% of the profits from this limited-edition design went to Girl Up, a charity that aims to help girls achieve their dreams. The “I’m A Feminist Too” shirt has already sold out online. But that didn’t stop conservative Twitter from getting their boxers in a bunch.
Y'all… don't make your children pawns in your political game. It ain't cute. I work in politics and my almost 5 yr old doesn't even know what I do or who the president is. All she knows is that I talk to her "uncle @benshapiro." https://t.co/1OGOdyutjW

Will not support this clothing line ever again….so bad…

@jcrew, you should really consider just making quality clothes and stop making political statements. Since you can't figure that out, I can promise that you won't make another dime off of me.

This ad is an ironic and haunting commentary on the fall of man. The sin of pride being the antagonist to the fall and the rainbow mocking God's covenant with man. The use of children displays the insidious and generative nature of it all.

They need to add at the end of that slogan on the J Crew shirt an "L"#ImAFeministTool @ChrisStigall @PaigePowers6 @TheMichaelCerio

You can almost hear that dude high-fiving himself for that one.
The response from liberal Twitter came quick and witty.
so conservatives are mad that J Crew made a feminist shirt for kids, because bringing kids into politics is wrong …. but they're totally okay with that little boy who knew how to operate an automatic weapon because it was "cute" OK

Dear Right Wing crybabies: Problem solved. You're welcome. Now STFU.⚡️ “People are mad at J.Crew for making a feminist shirt for kids” by @thisisinsider @jcrew https://t.co/K2bCjJ7YBV pic.twitter.com/cF2njF53Ih

The whole J Crew controversy is so stupid. A kid shirt saying feminist on it isn’t politicizing anything. Firstly, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it. More importantly, If you’re angry that your child’s shirt represents equality between men and women, then you’re the problem.

Then J. Crew pissed off homophobes by celebrating Pride Month with designs that will also give money to the Human Rights Campaign, a nonprofit advocacy group that champions LGBTQA rights.
You’ve lost my business @jcrew. Please leave our kids out of this. pic.twitter.com/oPJININBEl

Disgusting. I will never step foot into your store again and spread the message as well. #MentalHealthAwareness

@jcrew is pushing a line of children’s clothing that champions homosexuality, which cannot produce children, and Feminism, which kills them.https://t.co/FqLVnSScTYhttps://t.co/LZViKuDIOV

Happy Pride month. Celebrate you. Celebrate the LGBTQA loved ones in your life. And know that wearing a rainbow not only shows you’re proudly queer or an ally, but also it’ll rile the sputtering homophobes out there. It’s win-win.
