Happy 2024!
Are we already in the early-middle of January? Sure. But for us at Podjiba, the year is just starting, mostly thanks to January 1st being a Monday this year.
Anyway, the extra long hiatus this year just means we had so many shows to talk about in our “what we watched over the break” list! We’ve got Korean breakouts (Sweet Home and My Demon, which Dustin has now officially agreed to watch with us NO BACKS DUSTIN), we’ve got prestige-y American fare (The Curse and Fargo), we’ve got the latest and greatest from Netflix (The Brothers Sun)!
ALSO. I’ve finally started watching The Umbrella Academy season one, which means that it might be turning instead from a special episode to a special segment over the next several weeks! I look forward to learning everyone’s names, as right now they’re still stuck in my head by their mood in the first episode.
Finally, we belatedly wrapped up our coverage of Survivor season 45, I actually reviewed a comedy special, and we agreed that we’ll all jointly watch The Traitors (back this week!) and My Demon (once again, Dustin, you cannot back out), and maybe True Detective: Night Country!
