As you've no doubt seen by now, 2026 took another icon from us. This time in the form of Sir Patrick Stewart. Best known for his roles as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films, the classically trained theater actor became a beloved pop culture fixture thanks to his endearing friendship with Ian McKellen, his unwavering love for animals, and his staunch efforts to combat domestic violence.
