Stephen King has often signaled that he’s not a fan of Marvel movies, which is cool. Just like his books, he knows they’re not everyone’s cup of tea and has approached his lack of interest as such. Different strokes for different folks. However, even the prolific author has noticed there’s a whole lot of dancing on the grave of The Marvels after it bombed this week. King doesn’t quite get why so many people are gloating, but he eventually circles back to pin it on “adolescent fanboy hate” from losers who react with “Yuck! GIRLS!” And he’s not wrong. That is a large component, but joyless film snobs who hate the thought of people having fun for two hours have also been feasting on Marvel getting taken down a peg. (Variety)
