Like any franchise entry, Alien: Earth is getting its fair share of divisive criticism from “fans,” some of whom refuse to accept any entry outside the stone-cold classics Alien and its sequel Aliens. Sigourney Weaver begs to differ. She recently gushed about the FX series at TIFF where she dropped one hell of an endorsement: “What I admire about it is the scope is so much more profound than just an Alien movie,” she said. “It’s about our world and what’s dominating the world in 100 years, and to me it’s right on.” Ripley has spoken.
