At the start of COVID, my daughter discovered Girl Meets World thanks to Disney+, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that show has a death grip on our TV that’s lasted to this day. It’s nowhere near the non-stop rotation it used to be, but every once in a while, I still catch her watching episodes. Long story short, it was her comfort show, so it was wild to watch Sabrina Carpenter suddenly become, well, Sabrina Carpenter in what felt like a blink of the eye. Her character was a non-stop presence in our house, so my parenting particles kicked into high gear when I saw this report that infamous Boy Meets World creator Michael Jacobs was an absolute monster to Carpenter and the spinoff’s lead, Rowan Blanchard, from the very first table read. Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater finally confirmed their very obvious breakup. (Lainey Gossip)

Coming to America for the World Cup? Not so fast. (Wonkette)

Patrick Wilson has been Fathering. (My New Plaid Pants)

John Oliver got his Days of Our Lives role. (LateNighter)

David Ellison told Lesley Stahl that 60 Minutes will have “editorial independence,” and she believed him? (Deadline)

Nobody asked for this, Tom Brady. (Jezebel)

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is ending its stage run. (THR)

Jennifer Garner would prefer if Ben Affleck’s love life takes it easy for a while. Let’s give everyone a breather. (Page Six)

Unpainted Huffhines read There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America by Brian Gladstone in 24 hours. “Gladstone’s novelistic approach to his subjects’ lives shows just how dangerous and despairing it is to be one of the working homeless.” Who else is writing engagingly about hard realities? (Cannonball Read 18)
