Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a state treasure in Indiana. From birth to age five, the program provides every child in the state with access to free books, and it has been so effective in combatting screen time, that literacy rates for Indiana rocketed to the top of the charts. So, naturally, Republican Governor Mike Braun has decided to pull funding because we can’t have kids reading. That’s not how you create dutiful MAGA soldiers who regurgitate everything they see on Facebook. You wanna keep those kids good and dumb. (Daily Beast)
