When Jimmy Kimmel was yanked off the air back in September, it was an unmitigated disaster for everyone responsible. Disney lost its shirt on streaming subscriptions so quickly and badly that Kimmel was back on the air in under a week, proving in the most public way possible that the mad king can be defied.
