Back in June, Dustin wrote a great piece about how everyone needs to take any report that seemingly absolves Jonathan Majors with a huge grain of salt because 99.9% of the time, the source is his own lawyer Priya Chaudhry. Clearly, The Messenger missed that advice. Earlier today, it ran an exclusive report that Grace Jabbari, the woman whom Majors allegedly assaulted, will also be charged with assault. Naturally, this spread like wildfire on social media as Majors stans started crowing that people owe the actor an apology. Yeah, not so fast. Shortly after The Messenger report hit, actual court documents revealed that Majors’ legal team was slammed by the prosecution for pulling all kinds of bullsh*t. For starters, Jabbari will not be charged because she was already investigated, and that investigation resulted in Majors being arrested. Second, the footage that Majors’ attorneys have repeatedly stated will exonerate him? It’s “non-existent.” On top of that, the London Metropolitan Police are now part of the prosecution because of a prior incident that happened in September 2022. So, I think we’re gonna holster those apologies for a bit more, if you don’t mind. (Deadline)

Joseph David Emerson, the off-duty pilot who tried to cut the engines on an Alaska Airlines flight, was reportedly on shrooms for the first time. Which, wow okay, that actually explains a lot. According to documents, Emerson started freaking out because he thought the pilots weren’t flying the plane right, which made him think he was in a bad dream. How do you wake up from a bad dream? Start plummeting toward your death, which led to the engine shenanigans. Welcome to shroom logic, folks. This would also explain how Emerson was easily subdued and just chilled in the back of the plane where he presumably thought he could see the world of Narnia in the fibers of his seat belt.
