Jonathan Majors Is Already Being Dropped From Ad Campaigns

As most of you have probably seen by now, Jonathan Majors was arrested for domestic assault on Saturday after allegedly choking and slapping his girlfriend. Majors’ team didn’t hesitate to blanket the media with statements that he’s “completely innocent” and claims that they have evidence that will exonerate him. However, the U.S Army didn’t hesitate either. Recruitment ads featuring Majors were quickly pulled following his arrest. Unfortunately, this situation is going to be a minefield, so all I’m going to say is the most important issue should be determining whether Majors is a domestic abuser, and if so, holding him accountable. Like Justin Roiland, this situation has opened up a wave of allegations on social media. What isn’t important is how this will affect Marvel. Don’t get me wrong, that discussion will come in due time — and God knows I’ll feed at that trough like the gossipy little pig I am — but for now, there are far more serious things happening than comic book movies.
