John Oliver stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday evening where he weighed in on the British version of SNL that’s in the works. Oliver is not a fan. Why? Well, he doesn’t think that SNL’s cult-like mentality will work in the U.K. Turns out, Oliver doesn’t think SNL’s infamous all-nighters are necessary or that comedy requires writers and actors to toil away for their overlord’s approval. Considering Meyers was a head writer on SNL, that’s a pretty spicy take for Oliver to drop. (Variety)
