For God knows what reason, The Hollywood Reporter decided to give Gina Carano a glowing profile where she shared her side of the story after infamously being fired from The Mandalorian. To the surprise of no one, Carano sees nothing wrong with what she did and even claims to have spoken with some lovely trans activists who didn’t think her boop/bop/beep pronoun joke was a big deal. “Oh, darling, I’m so sorry you stepped on a land mine,” she claims they told her. As for all those racist and antisemitic memes she shared, well, she had no idea that what’s they really meant. She just thought they were neat little cartoons about people standing up against the powers-that-be. You understand. In fact, she totally thinks George Floyd was murdered! It’s just the BLM protesters screamed too much and everyone should’ve been focused on more pressing matters like why she has to wear a mask in Target? You want to talk about real oppression… (THR)

In celebration of Women’s History Month, jomidi has a list of books about real women and wants you to share your recommendations. What books that you read about real women have been memorable? Which ones gave you a new heroine (or villainess), taught you something about the past (or yourself), or have stayed with you over time (or since last week when you finished it)?
