For some inexplicable reason, David Boreanaz has been tapped as the lead for NBC’s upcoming reboot of the Rockford Files. Considering the last person who tried to fill James Garner’s shoes was Mel Gibson in Maverick, and well, we saw what happened to that guy. Best of luck, David. (THR)
