Seen here revealing that he’ll be playing the role of the cars in the final Fast & Furious installment, Vin Diesel has once again promised that the last movie is coming and you can trust him because the script brought tears to his own eyes. But only his eyes.

“You have no idea,” Diesel wrote on Instagram. “When March 17th 2028 comes… you will thank God you got to see the First one in the theaters this summer. I just read the Fast Forever script by Mike Leslie. It is the best script I have read in decades. I am still crying…”

Sounds great, Vin, and definitely like a movie that’s coming out. Hey, has the director seen this script? Maybe someone should ask Louis Leterrier what he thinks. Oh wait, Polygon did just that:

The director revealed he hasn’t — and suggested there’s a story he isn’t free to tell.

“Well, uh, I’d love to tell you the full truth, but I can’t,” Leterrier said with a laugh. “There will be an ending, and it’s great. I was very, very lucky to be part of the franchise, and I love Vin and I love Universal. They’re great to work with. So yeah. We’ll see, hopefully.”

In fairness, Louis he’s a busy man and maybe he hasn’t got around to it yet. Let’s check with TV’s Reacher, Alan Ritchson, who was poised to be the big villain of the final installment. Surely, he’ll have some encouraging words to say that will calm everyone’s fears.

Via Gizmodo:

“We have conversations all the time… But there’s just a lot of obstacles. It’s expensive to make that; it’s too expensive to make those. It just doesn’t make a ton of sense. There’s a more efficient way to shoot those [movies].”

Yikes. I’m almost afraid to ask, but Jason Momoa, do you want to weigh in on the delays?

“It sucks!” he literally told io9. That’s an actual quote. “I heard it’s coming back. I think everything’s happening. I won’t say much about that, but I know it’s all happening. And I’m pretty sure I’ll be in there.”

Cool, cool cool cool. So for everyone playing the home game, Vin Diesel claims there’s a beautiful script for the final movie, but the director is openly telling reporters he hasn’t read it while also sounding like his foot is out the door. Reacher says these things are too damn expensive, and everyone’s freaking out how expensive they are while Jason Momoa thinks the last movie is still happening. Maybe. He’s “pretty sure,” but let’s keep it at that.
