Nobody wants to hear my thoughts on how lying about Democrats to stir up social media views does the exact opposite of helping, so we’re gonna talk about something lighter! Although, I will note that the old people who have recently made Republican politicians afraid of their constituents have done more to impede Trump than posting Rage Against the Machine lyrics or even Rage themselves. Hell, anyone who’s voted has made more of an actual difference.
Anyway, Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan are getting back together for an all-new sitcom that also bring backs the producers of 30 Rock. Via Variety:
Tracy Morgan will star as a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image in a new NBC comedy pilot.The series hails from Tina Fey and other “30 Rock” alums, including Fey’s co-showrunner Robert Carlock and writer Sam Means, as well as producers Eric Gurian and David Miner. Carlock and Means are the writers of the new pilot starring Morgan, which is also directed and executive produced by Rhys Thomas. No other casting has been announced.
Well, slap that in my normie veins. I’ve loved Tracy Morgan ever since he took Britney Spears down into a sewer on SNL, yelled “Gimme the map, Scott!” in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and then proceeded to have an unprecedented run of hilarious late night talk show appearances where he routinely announced that he doesn’t pull out. If time weren’t a luxury, I could write a thesis paper on how Tracy’s standup specials ate Garfield’s lunch by turning lasagna-based humor into an artform.
This is the information I store in my brain instead of remembering to pack my son a sandwich last night. I’m a complex man.
