New Stephen King Trailer Takes a Sudden Oh @#$ Turn

I’ve never read Stephen King’s The Long Walk, so I didn’t know what to expect from the trailer for the film, which comes from Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games). The logline doesn’t say much, either: “An intense, chilling, and emotional thriller that challenges audiences to confront a haunting question: how far could you go?” The trailer seems to be moving merrily along until around the 50 second mark when it goes hard with an “Oh shit” moment that also reveals the premise of the film.

Oh, oh damn!

The film stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, Josh Hamilton, Judy Greer, and Mark Hamill. The trailer says it’s “coming soon,” but Wikipedia gives the release date as September 12th.
