Here are your 2025 Emmy nominations. I’m going to say that there aren’t a ton of surprises. The Best Drama and Comedy categories shook out mostly as expected, though the inclusion of Shrinking was a nice surprise — it received five noms in the major categories, including for Harrison Ford. Other new entrants into the comedy category were Nobody Wants This and The Studio. Genre television is represented by Andor in the drama category and The Penguin in limited series. Severance (Drama), Hacks (Comedy), and Adolescence (Limited Series) led in total nominations in their respective categories.

As for snubs? The ones getting the biggest reactions are the lack of acting awards for Andor, no nominations for Interview with a Vampire, and a goose egg for Industry, too. Oh, and Taylor Dearden gets overlooked. TAYLOR DEARDEN.

Now I’m mad.

I suppose otherwise, the biggest issue I have is that the Television Movie category must have been a painfully thin if it’s including Nonnas, a mediocre Vince Vaughn Netflix movie, and The Gorge, a bad Apple TV+ movie. Oooof.

Nate Bargatze will host the Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14th.
