After talking about casting changes for the better part of the last month, we actually have something new to write about when it comes to SNL: The forthcoming hosts.

The show will return for its 51st season (and hopefully not its last) on October 4th. The season premiere will be hosted by Bad Bunny (a popular host, of late), along with musical guest Doja Cat. It’s Bad Bunny’s second time to host (although he’s appeared four times, including as musical guest). It’s Doja Cat’s first time appearing on the show.

The October 11th show will bring back SNL alum Amy Poehler, popular these days for her very cozy podcast, Good Hang. The longtime cast member is returning for the second time as host (although, once was with Tina Fey). She’ll be joined by musical guest Role Model, who is someone I have never heard of.

Finally, on October 18th, Sabrina Carpenter — a popular host last year, who also appeared on the 50th Anniversary special — will return as both host and musical guest for the season’s third episode. Anecdotally, I will also say that, during her first album, middle-school moms were downright hostile to Carpenter in my world. But they’ve come around on here after her latest single.

Decent slate. No complaints.
