It's been a long time since one of our AskReddit roundups centered around just pure knowledge. Reddit loves those 'tell me something that sounds made-up but is in fact true' fact threads, and as a result you often see a lot of the same information repeated on them again and again. Surprisingly, when it came up around this time, under the AskReddit question, 'What sounds like complete nonsense, but has been proven to be true?', there seemed to be quite a lot of entries that hadn't been seen before. So what better way to pass some time during this holiday period, than imbibing a few brain-busters. Sure, there are a few that we've seen before. We've let some of the classics sneak in.
